HIKERS® Button Fly Suspenders are our original hidden suspenders for men who wear their shirts untucked. This ultra-flat, two-point belt alternative keeps your waistband comfortably in place without tightening anything around your middle, then disappears beneath a T-shirt, polo, or button-down. They are undergarment suspenders in the original sense: made to wear under, not over.

At the front, a slim reinforced buttonhole slips over your pants button. At the back, our patented adjustable hook attaches securely to your center rear belt loop. There are no clips at your waistband, no chest buckles, no double back straps adding thickness that shows through your shirt, and nothing running over your hips. The soft elastic can be worn against your skin or over an undershirt, and a properly fitted pair uses less than a pound of gentle tension.

HIKERS® Button Fly Suspenders work with pants or shorts that have a front button and a center rear belt loop. Each pair is made in your size and arrives set to that size, with two smaller settings available through the adjustable rear hook. The included nylon hook is TSA-friendly, and the suspenders are machine washable. Lay flat to dry.

Measure from your center rear belt loop, over your shoulder, to your front button and choose the corresponding size on the size chart. Between sizes, order the larger one. If the first size isn't right, size exchanges are free.

Which pants work with HIKERS® Button Fly Suspenders?

Any pants or shorts with a front button and a center rear belt loop. The slim buttonhole on the front strap slips over your front button, so a standard zip fly with a button closure works just as well as an actual button fly. That covers most jeans, chinos, dress pants, and shorts. Snaps, slide closures, and elastic waistbands don't work with this style; for those, choose Upfitter® Belt Loop Suspenders, which attach to belt loops instead.

Do I wear them against my skin or over an undershirt?

Either one. HIKERS® Button Fly Suspenders are designed to be worn like an undergarment: the silky-soft elastic straps and flat hooks are comfortable directly against skin and won't pull chest hair. If you wear an undershirt, they're just as comfortable over it. Your untucked outer shirt goes over everything and hides them completely.

Why only two attachment points?

Because two is all a hidden suspender needs: a buttonhole over your front button and one hook on your center rear belt loop. Fewer attachment points means less under your shirt, nothing at your sides or over your hips, and on and off about as quick as a belt.

Can I wear them if I tuck my shirt in?

Yes, you can, but they're not designed for that specifically. HIKERS® Button Fly Suspenders are a hidden undergarment, made to disappear under an untucked shirt. If you regularly tuck your shirt in, choose Upfitter® Belt Loop Suspenders: they attach to belt loops and wear over a tucked-in shirt like traditional suspenders, or hidden under an untucked one.

Do they work with shorts?

Yes. Any shorts with a front button and a center rear belt loop work, and shorts are where this style earns its keep in summer: your shorts stay at the height you set them with nothing but a t-shirt over the top, and nobody knows why your pockets can carry your phone, keys, and wallet without your waistband heading south.

Should I get these or Upfitter® Belt Loop Suspenders?

Get HIKERS® Button Fly Suspenders if you wear your shirts untucked and your pants have a front button: this is the original fully hidden 2-point style. Get Upfitter® Belt Loop Suspenders if you sometimes tuck your shirt in, or your pants close with snaps or slide closures. Both share the same super-soft elastic strap, the same interchangeable hooks, the same made-in-your-size fit, and both run XS to 4X.

Are they comfortable?

Absolutely! How often do you loosen your belt or unbutton your pants? Are you eager to get home at night and change into something more comfortable? When you’re wearing HIKERS® Co. suspenders, your pants can be a little looser because tightness is no longer a factor in keeping them from slipping down. Will they give me a wedgie?

Nope, wedgies don't happen when you order them in your size. It takes much less force to pull pants up than to cinch them on. Wedgies don’t happen with HIKERS® Co. suspenders for two reasons: 1. Your stomach stops them from inching up, and 2. all HIKERS® Co. suspenders come in your size and are adjustable, so the upward tug is Goldilocks perfect.

Do I have to disrobe to go to the bathroom?

Heading to the john could not be easier. HIKERS® Co. suspenders stay in place under your shirt so there’s no need to disrobe. Simply unhook and go about your business. About as quick as a belt and much faster than traditional suspenders.

Standing to pee with HIKERS® Co. suspenders is easy. Most guys don't unfasten them. Just unbutton your pants and let HIKERS® hold up your pants while you do your business. When you need to sit, you can leave your shirt on and try a couple of different options:

Unfasten the rear hook only. Your suspenders will slide forward as you sit down. When you stand up, reach up your back to pull the hook down and refasten. If the hook climbs up your back a little bit while you're sitting and becomes hard to reach, you can try a couple of things to slide it back down to where you can grab it. You can push up on the triangular patch in the front of your HIKERS®, or you can grab the straps near your shoulders to slide them back into position so you can easily reach your hook.

Wonʻt they tear my belt loops?

Nope, it doesn't happen. Considering the construction of Upfitter® Suspenders, the stretch of the straps, and the fact that the weight is distributed evenly around your body, it's not a likely issue. Given the average weight of your pants (even loaded with your phone, keys, and wallet), there's less than a pound of force on your rear belt loop (and there's two sewn seams keeping that loop on tight).

More importantly, we tested these for a full year before launching and have now sold over 100,000 pairs. We can confidently say that belt loops aren't failing with HIKERS® Co. Suspenders.

Santa Settles
They work, even if you’re Santa-shaped!

Belts simply don’t work with my Santa physique, like trying to tie a string around a bowling ball but you can’t tie it around the middle! So suspenders are my only option. And if I want to go untucked (often) I have to wear a tee shirt to protect my skin from the rough suspenders hardware and then wear my Aloha shirt over it all. And two layers is just not feasible in Florida. Hikers are a good solution. Being sized to fit eliminates the uncomfortable hardware and leaves a clean line so they are invisible even under thin tee shirts.

My only complaint is that when I have stuff in my pockets the sides of my shorts droop while the middle is hoisted. Part of this is my shorts are too big, I’ve been loosing weight, and would probably be better with better fitting shorts or jeans. I also think the Upfitter will solve this problem, I just ordered those.

Love these suspenders I'm on my 3rd pair,yes they do tear and wear out but their the best thing going,,I can't wear a belt and I hate the clip on suspenders because you can't wear those with your shirt out. So glad I discovered these a few years ago. Little pricey but you get what you pay for i guess.

These are comfortable to wear against the skin under any shirt. They hold my pants up well. If you are tired of belts, I recommend trying both the Button Fly Suspenders and the Uplifter Suspenders. The customer service is responsive. My first order was a size too large, but they quickly sent out replacements in the correct size and work well.

Hiker’s one button suspenders

I love them , I have been diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer and lung cancer , as such I have lost 50 lbs. My pants don’t fit , they get bunched up using a belt . With these suspenders no issues with that , they are awesome ! Sent a pair to a buddy of mine !

Unbelieveable... they work

I was HIGHLY skeptical these would really solve the problem of my pants that won't stay up, but figured it might at least keep them from hitting the ground. Wow, was I surprised! These hold up my pants and whatever crap is in my pockets really well - no more "plumber's crack" comments from my wife, no more yanking up my drawers every 10 minutes. These are incredibly comfortable, a little weird feeling at first that passed pretty quickly and best of all they are so much better than a belt (and I've tried dozens of different belts). Absolutely getting at least one more and recommending them to my plumber friends!
