The most versatile pair in the HIKERS® Co. line, they attach directly to the belt loops your pants already have with three low-profile hooks, so they work with jeans, chinos, work pants, dress pants, and shorts, regardless of how the fly closes.

Wear them hidden under an untucked shirt or over a tucked-in shirt like traditional suspenders. Two front hooks and one rear hook distribute less than a pound of gentle tension across three belt loops, keeping your waistband where you set it without clips gripping the fabric, chest buckles, double back straps adding thickness, or bulky adjustment hardware under your shirt.

Every pair is made in your size and arrives adjusted to fit, with two smaller settings available through our patented rear-hook design. The three included nylon hooks are TSA-friendly and interchangeable with other HIKERS® Co. hooks. Upfitters are machine washable; lay flat to dry.

Measure from your center rear belt loop, over your shoulder, to your front button and choose the corresponding size on the size chart. Between sizes, order the larger one. If the first size isn't right, size exchanges are free.

How do Upfitter® Belt Loop Suspenders attach to my pants?

At three points: the hooks lock onto your two front belt loops and one center rear belt loop. There are no clips clamped onto waistband fabric and nothing to sew on. The hooks are a patented flat design that locks onto the loop, so they won't pop off when you sit, bend, or squat, and after a few wears getting them on and off takes seconds.

Can I wear them with a tucked-in shirt?

Yes, both ways work. Hidden under an untucked shirt, the flat straps and hooks disappear with no bulky hardware to show through. With a tucked-in shirt, wear them over it like traditional suspenders; because they attach to your belt loops, tucking doesn't get in their way. Most guys wear casual shirts untucked and dressier shirts tucked, and one pair covers both.

Do they work with jeans?

Yes. Jeans are what most of our customers wear them with. Any pants or shorts with belt loops work: jeans, chinos, work pants, dress pants, golf shorts. The closure doesn't matter either. Buttons, zippers, snaps, and slide closures are all fine, because Upfitter® Belt Loop Suspenders never touch the closure, only the loops.

What's the difference between these and clip-on suspenders?

Clip-on suspenders clamp onto your waistband fabric with metal jaws that chew the fabric and can pop off under load. Upfitter® Belt Loop Suspenders lock onto the belt loops themselves, which are each held by two sewn seams and built to be pulled on. And because every pair is made in your size, there are no metal adjustment buckles sitting on your chest, which is the other thing clip-on suspenders make you live with.

The standard hooks are nylon, so they're TSA-friendly and walk through airport security without a second look. If you prefer metal, metal hooks are available as an upgrade, and replacement hooks and Hook Packs are available too.
