Common Questions

Do I need to buy extra hooks?

Not at all! Every pair of HIKERS® Co. Suspenders comes hooked up and ready to wear.

What makes HIKERS® Co. hooks unique?

Our rear hooks are interchangeable and adjustable. They lock onto your belt loop with our patented hook arm, and won't pop off unintentionally. Simply tilt on and off to release it from your belt loop.

Our front hooks are can be flipped for right- or left-handed preference and ultimate comfort

How do I rethread the hook?

  1. With the HIKERS® Co. logo facing you, thread the strap into the first slot from the top, under the first bar, and back up through the second slot.
  2. Pull it through and thread it back down into the final slot, seating the strap's size hole onto the center post. Give the strap a good tug.
  3. If you're using a second or third size hole, you can then thread the remainder of the strap up the back of the hook, under the top bar.

I really love these clips. I personally think that these should be common place on the hikers suspenders. I would only use the nylon ones for going through an airport. These stay on your pants way better than the hard plastic ones the suspenders come with normally. They add a great accent to my black suspenders and a crazy clash to my white suspenders for a good bit of pop in color. This brand has been my go to for suspenders since I have 2 hernias and belts hurt my stomach.

These are great!

This is a one star review because some people read negative reviews first, and there really should be no negative reviews on this product. The fit and finish is very good and they work like they should. Very easy to put on and easy to release when you need to drop trousers without having to remove clothing worn over the suspenders. I order three other brands before these and they all had problems. These don’t have compression clips so they eliminate all the problems related to those clips, like pulling off the waistband. I also bought a second set and a pair of the metal clips. The metal clips are nice, but heavier and set off the detector the airport, so if traveling, wear the nylon clips that are stock. I don’t like belts because they bother my hips, so these are the perfect solution and I’ll be a user for life.
