Upfitter® Deluxe Belt Loop Suspenders give our best-selling belt alternative a tad more polish. For customers who like to wear their suspenders with a tucked-in shirt, the Deluxe is the outerwear option in the HIKERS® Co. line: a monochromatic leather logo patch and leather rear hook strap finish the same soft 1.5-inch elastic, secure belt-loop attachments, and made-in-your-size fit as standard Upfitters.

Wear them over a tucked-in shirt to let the leather details show, or hidden under an untucked shirt like every other HIKERS® Co. style. The three low-profile hooks attach to your two front belt loops and center rear belt loop, keeping your waistband comfortably in place without clips, chest buckles, double back straps, or bulky adjustment hardware.

Each pair arrives set to your size and can be tightened through two smaller settings with the patented adjustable rear hook. Three interchangeable, TSA-friendly nylon hooks are included. Dry clean or hand wash and lay flat to dry.

Measure from your center rear belt loop, over your shoulder, to your front button and choose the corresponding size on the size chart. Between sizes, order the larger one. If the first size isn't right, size exchanges are free.

What makes them Deluxe?

Two leather details: a monochromatic leather logo patch, and a leather rear hook strap in place of the standard Hypalon one. Everything else matches our best-selling Upfitter® Belt Loop Suspenders: the same super-soft 1.5" elastic strap, the same flat hooks, the same 3-point belt loop attachment, made in your size.

Are these full leather suspenders?

No, and that's deliberate. Full-leather straps don't stretch, so they dig in when you sit and sag when you stand. The shoulder straps here are the same super-soft elastic as every HIKERS® Co. style, because the stretch is what makes them comfortable all day. The leather goes where you see it: the logo patch and the rear hook strap. If you want the leather look without stiff straps, that's exactly the trade Upfitter® Deluxe Belt Loop Suspenders make.

Can I wear them over my shirt to show the leather?

Yes. Like every Upfitter® style, they attach to your belt loops, so they work worn over a tucked-in shirt or hidden under an untucked one. Worn over, the monochromatic leather patch and leather rear strap are the visible details, which is the point of choosing Deluxe. Under a shirt, they disappear exactly like the standard pair.

How do I wash them with the leather details?

Dry clean or hand wash, then lay flat to air dry: the leather logo patch and rear strap mean the Deluxe pair skips the machine. Every other HIKERS® Co. style is machine washable, and we recommend air drying for all of them.

What sizes do they come in?

XS through 4X, and every pair is made in your size, so there are no metal adjustment buckles under your shirt. If you need 5X, Upfitter® Heavy Duty Belt Loop Suspenders are the one HIKERS® Co. style that goes there, with a 2" strap instead of this pair's 1.5".

Are they worth it over the standard Upfitters?

If you want the leather details, yes; if you don't, no. The fit, strap, hooks, and attachment are identical to the standard Upfitter® Belt Loop Suspenders, so you're paying for the monochromatic leather logo patch and the leather rear hook strap, not for different performance. Guys who wear their suspenders over the shirt tend to think it's worth it. Guys who only wear them hidden usually take the standard pair.

Common Questions

Are they comfortable?

Absolutely! How often do you loosen your belt or unbutton your pants? Are you eager to get home at night and change into something more comfortable? When you’re wearing HIKERS® Co. suspenders, your pants can be a little looser because tightness is no longer a factor in keeping them from slipping down. Will they give me a wedgie?

Nope, wedgies don't happen when you order them in your size. It takes much less force to pull pants up than to cinch them on. Wedgies don’t happen with HIKERS® Co. suspenders for two reasons: 1. Your stomach stops them from inching up, and 2. all HIKERS® Co. suspenders come in your size and are adjustable, so the upward tug is Goldilocks perfect.

Do I have to disrobe to go to the bathroom?

Heading to the john could not be easier. HIKERS® Co. suspenders stay in place under your shirt so there’s no need to disrobe. Simply unhook and go about your business. About as quick as a belt and much faster than traditional suspenders.

Standing to pee with HIKERS® Co. suspenders is easy. Most guys don't unfasten them. Just unbutton your pants and let HIKERS® hold up your pants while you do your business. When you need to sit, you can leave your shirt on and try a couple of different options:

Unfasten the rear hook only. Your suspenders will slide forward as you sit down. When you stand up, reach up your back to pull the hook down and refasten. If the hook climbs up your back a little bit while you're sitting and becomes hard to reach, you can try a couple of things to slide it back down to where you can grab it. You can push up on the triangular patch in the front of your HIKERS®, or you can grab the straps near your shoulders to slide them back into position so you can easily reach your hook.

Wonʻt they tear my belt loops?

Nope, it doesn't happen. Considering the construction of Upfitter® Suspenders, the stretch of the straps, and the fact that the weight is distributed evenly around your body, it's not a likely issue. Given the average weight of your pants (even loaded with your phone, keys, and wallet), there's less than a pound of force on your rear belt loop (and there's two sewn seams keeping that loop on tight).

More importantly, we tested these for a full year before launching and have now sold over 100,000 pairs. We can confidently say that belt loops aren't failing with HIKERS® Co. Suspenders.

A belt doesn't work for me

A belt doesn't work for me. But these suspenders work well. I wore a belt for years and I had to make it so tight. It just wasn't good. These suspenders are perfect. Go through the airports, easy to put on, inexpensive. I use them so much. I got multiple pairs.You wear them out like you wear out jeans. But I have to have them.

I havebeen buying these for the last few years. This time I bought the Upfitters with the ack leather strap. They are good but I can feel the leather strap more than the reguar rubber type. So I prefer the regular type. But still a great product.
